Tour 2007
The Houston Choral Society has returned from Europe–again!
»We’re back from Europe! It was awesome!
Following our successful performance tours of England and Scotland in 2001 and Italy in 2004 (which culminated in an unforgettable performance at Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica), the Society has returned from yet another successful tour.
Destinations visited: the central Europe wonders of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Each city is the capital of their nation and a cultural wonderland. We were especially pleased to enable Dr. Devine to return to Budapest, where she undertook her PhD thesis research on the Hungarian master Zoltan Koday… whose Missa Brevis composition we performed last October.
Tour details:
- Travel dates: June 4 - 14.
- The Society performed a major concert in each city.
- The cost per person included all air and ground travel, hotels, breakfasts, gratuities, and suppers.
Our tour company was American Classical Tours of San Antonio, who also arranged our Italian tour so successfully. Even though we experienced some difficulties at the very beginning, American Classical Tours did a great job trying to fix everything.
